The Ogunquit Police Department is proud to be a participating member of the Special Olympics in Maine. Each year we support the Special Olympics by raising awareness and funds to help this wonderful program. If you see members of the Ogunquit Police Department running through downtown carrying the Special Olympic torch, make sure you say hi, or honk your horn in support. If you would like to join as a runner or donate to the Special Olympics, please contact Officer Romano, who is our Special Olympics Maine liaison. You can email Officer Romano at dromano@ogunquitpd.org or contact the Ogunquit Police Department business line at (207) 646-9362 and ask to speak with Officer Romano directly.

The images below are from Ogunquit Police Department Special Olympic events from the past, including the first OPD Special Olympic Run which was held in 1985.
