Vacant House Check Program

The Ogunquit Police Department is proud to offer Vacant House Check Program. If you are going on vacation, closing your seasonal house, or just leaving your home for an extended period, the Vacant House Check Program was designed for you. Once you enlist in the program an Ogunquit Police Officer will be dispatched to check on your home during the time frame you have requested and examine the property for any indicators of potentially concerning or suspicious occurrences. Not only does the Vacant House Check Program deter potential crimes from occurring, but it also helps by allowing us to notify the owner of the residence of any damages such as burst pipes or fallen trees, which would have otherwise gone un-noticed for an extended period.

Interested parties are encouraged to fill out a Vacant House Check Program form.

The Vacant House Check Program form can be located in the “Forms” section of the Ogunquit Police Department’s main webpage, and mailed to:

Ogunquit Police Department, P.O. Box 666 Ogunquit, ME 03907, or emailed to sdamren@ogunquitpd.org.
