#1 PET PLASTICS (empty and rinsed)number1plastic

• Clear bottles [with #1 in triangle symbol] (screw tops are a good  

indicator)

• NO clear salad containers with attached lids (even those that indicate

they are recyclable)

• NO #3 - #7 Plastics, plastic bags or Styrofoam

#2 HDPE PLASTIC (empty and rinsed)number2plastic

• Heavy opaque plastics [with #2 triangle symbol]

• Detergent and water and milk jugs

• NO “Fairlife” milk jugs – these are #7

• NO black plastics or planter pots

REDEEMABLE BOTTLES AND CANS

• The money goes to the Wells/Ogunquit Senior Center


These (and similar items) are the only materials that are sure to be recycled and for which we  receive payment. Unfortunately, we are not able to take Paper at this time and these materials should go into the trash until that time we are able to find an end user to send them to at a reasonable cost.
