Help Protect Ogunquit’s Piping Plovers

An opportunity to learn more about Ogunquit’s endangered Piping Plovers and how you can help protect them.
Laura Williams, Maine Audubon Wildlife Biologist and Conservation Assistant, will be discussing the unique characteristics of the Piping Plovers, and the many efforts taken each year to protect the species and their habitat.
Suzanne Craig, Ogunquit’s Piping Plover Coordinator, will share details of the volunteer monitoring program.
Deputy Police Chief Neal Pawlik, who oversees the program in Ogunquit, will discuss the Town’s role in providing protection to the plovers.
